Jack made his way to the entrance of the town he helped create. It gave him a sense of pleasure to realize that he was a big help in turning a lowly camp into a growing town, and one of the few around here. At the entrance stood a man with a tan coat and pants wearing a top hat. He gazed at the community with a smirk on his face. Lets hope you didn't turn into a town full of dumbasses while i was gone. Jack had recently been away from Newport. Exploring the wasteland and looking for other communities that would be interested in helping Newport grow. He had found a few items he could sell while on his journey. Two pistols, not of the best quality but then again nothing was these days. and a total of five bullets. He had decided to keep one pistol for himself simply to use as protection. In a world of raiders and other monstrosities it would certainly be useful.

Jack knelt to the ground and picked up a hand full of sand and let it fall between his fingers. He had a connection to this area and bettering it was his top priority. He waved and nodded to much of the older civilians but not to the youngsters that ran around thinking they knew how to survive. That they were the tough ones. But Jack knew they had no idea how to do anything. He himself was fifteen when the bombs hit and had to survive alone for a long time until he found a camp that soon turned into the town of Newport. He often thought of the younger people as immature and expendable. but there are a few good ones Jack would give his life to.

Finally Jack started his way through Newport, he had a lot of catching up to do and even more things to accomplish. He wanted to become an entrepreneur, selling goods to those who needed them. In Jacks mind he knew he could make a fortune selling ammo to all the young ones who thought that a rusty old gun was the best choice of protection. In truth however they really only proved useful against Brutes. Their massive size allows them to get stabbed without the blade being able to pierce any organs, but Brutes were stupid and they could be easily tracked and killed if people would just use their damn heads.

Jack found himself still at the entrance, he had gotten so deeply in thought that he hadn't even started walking. But there was one thought in his head that he couldn't stop thinking of. Newport needs a leader and he didnt want to take that responsibility but he just end up being forced to in order to keep Newport alive. It was a decision that didnt need to be made for a while so for now he would just suppress his thought and continue his day.
