The events that had just occurred were still prevalent in the mind of the young pyromaniac and he was having a rather hard time shaking them from his head. Jen immediately took notice of this and offered a simple suggestion that would perhaps cure his new ailment.

"You look like you could use another drink.." she said in a playful manner, trying to bring Vicious out of his funk.

Blinking several times, Vicious turned his head in her direction and fixed his gaze upon her smiling face. She was not disturbed in the least and looked rather relaxed considered she had just blown a hole through a creature's head and saved a man's life. The punk decided he had better get on board with her if he wanted to make any progress from here on out and so he shrugged his shoulders hard and nodded his head at her. A drink was just the thing he needed right now and the sooner it entered his throat and burned its way down into his intestines, the sooner he could forget about this monster he had come face to face with and carry on with his own agenda.

As they re-entered the bar, Vicious looked around, taking note of the quick clean up job Jen had done before they had carried the Creature's body outside. She had managed to straighten up the chairs and tables that had been knocked about during the short scuffle and all that remained of the incident was a little bit of radiated blood on the floor, Jen's shotgun on the table and... there, on the floor where things had gotten heated; the Creature's gun.

Vicious walked slowly toward the weapon, his eyes pinned on it's cold, evil-looking exterior. As he reached the gun, he knelt slowly and wrapped his fingers around the firearm, lifting it away from the wooden floor and bringing it into better view. The weight of the pistol was greater than he could have imagined and he grinned slightly at the thought of the power it possessed within. Vicious had never before fired a gun and was more curious than ever to try it out. First thing was first though, he needed that drink to calm his nerves and steady his aim.

As he rose from his squatted position and regained his standing-posture, Vicious turned his attention toward the sound of liquid rushing into empty glasses at the bar. As he walked slowly to the bar stool and the counter he had previously occupied, he found that Jen had been busy and had already poured each of them 2 glasses of the fire water. The punk looked up at her and lay the pistol on the bar counter softly, remembering how it had discharged accidentally upon hitting the ground before. As he moved his hand from the cold surface of the weapon, to the slightly heated surface of the glass, he smiled softly and nodded to Jen; giving her a cheers before downing the substance. The alcohol tore through his mouth, throat and insides like always and stung the bottom of his brain. The sensation was welcomed and appreciated and immediately Vicious began to feel better about the whole ordeal. As he set the empty glass down he wrapped his fingers around the second glass in front of him, which was still full and did another cheers with Jen before following her lead and ingesting the liquid. As the two of them set their empty glasses down in unison, Vicious looked at her grinning face and smiled softly in return to the expression.

"Feeling better?" she asked, with a soft laugh behind her words.

She could see that he had been shaken up by the encounter and the quick confrontation he had with the Creature, but she knew that in this world you either fight and survive or lay down and die and she had long ago made up her mind on the subject. Vicious needed to do the same and he considered himself rather lucky to have had Jen there to save him when it mattered. Had it not been for her quick response time and unwavering reflexes, he would surely have been an afternoon snack for the Creature and drug out to the trash pile to rot with him in the mid-day sun.

Vicious moved his eyes from Jen's pretty face, back to the pistol on the counter.

"Can you show me how to..." he was cut-off mid sentence as Jen's grin turned to a wicked smile and she grabbed her shotgun and replied.

"...Follow me."

Without delay, Vicious rose from the bar stool and snatched the pistol off the counter top, following Jen behind the bar and out the back door of the building. As they exited the building, Vicious squinted at the light of the day and looked ahead to see what was in store for him. Jen moved like always, gliding like an angel across the dusty ground, and removed a small tarp from some sort of wooden post. As he looked closer, Vicious discovered the wooden post was a Scarecrow with many holes in him already.

"There you go, give it a shot!" said Jen with confidence in her words.

Vicious stared at the wooden scarecrow and lifted his arm slowly, taking aim with the pistol and then squeezing back on the trigger.

Click!

Nothing happened and Vicious lowered the weapon in displeasure. Taking note of the discouraged look on his face, Jen moved to his side quickly and helped him. She lifted his arm again, aiming the pistol at the scarecrow, then she moved her hand along his arm and finally to the hammer of the pistol. With a slow movement, she cocked the hammer back and the barrel rotated, moving a fresh round into position for the firing-pin. The trigger swung forward gently and the entire gun felt alive in Vicious' hand. Jen then leaned in close to Vicious and whispered in his ear, her lips brushing gently against his skin.

"Now you're ready.." she whispered.

Vicious squinted his eye, aiming for the head of the scarecrow and squeezed back on the trigger. The sound was incredible as the weapon discharged and the bullet went ripping into the scarecrow's upper torso. The sensation of power and vibration traveled all through Vicious' arm and echoed throughout the rest of his body. The feeling was amazing and he quickly understood why people loved guns the way they did.

"Not bad at all.." said Jen, "Now it's my turn!"

With that she swung away from Vicious and lifted her shotgun to hip level, pointing the barrel down range at the scarecrow. Without hesitation she squeezed the trigger and the slug exploded off into the wooden dummy, ripping the right side of it's face clean off. Vicious smirked as he watched her and admired her form as well as her hidden danger.

"Now you try!" she yelled as she extended the shotgun toward him.

Vicious nodded, hanging her the pistol and taking the shotgun into his clutches. As he mocked her movements, and moved the weapon to hip level, he aimed at the wooden scarecrow and squeezed the trigger. The next thing he remembered, he was trying to catch his breath and was laying on the ground, looking up at Jen; who was smiling wider than ever.
